Do HMRC keep a record of people/addresses who have had to pay duty on a package? Looking for repeat offenders etc

In what respect? People who import stuff?

I know a few of the drivers well enough to ask, not sure what you mean though.

Do you mean by repeat offenders that they're not paying?

Or do you mean do they keep tabs on people who import a lot? Probably yes, but they'd also need to prove an income based on profit, which you can't do without evidence of having sold it all.

I paid duty on an item last month. I have never been asked to pay duty on previous orders. I want to place another order and want to know if my personal details will be on some sort of record to stop any future packages.

I got properly striped up once.

I bought a throttle body and plenum chamber from a place in the states.

They very kindly put the full value of the item, plus their company name etc in bold on the boxes

I got stitched up for import tax, VAT and a parcelfarce 'handling charge' (basically a ransom on your own bought and paid for property), for the pleasure of them temporarily stealing my items and holding them hostage.

Cunts
