better exhaust gas flow, more noise, sometimes increased bhp...

but need to put the cat back on for every MOT or it'll fail.

Which is a pain. Companies are starting to develop "sportscats", which are less restrictive cats than standard, and u will pass MOT with them. Dunno the details bout them tho, they r quite new I think...

Cat will go on in 15 mins..Couple brackets like..
I'm ok with my decat because I know a man who can..If you know what I mean...Don' t have to change for mot....

Noise and slight power gain to be expected...

I thought 1.2 16v's had a very restrictive cat... so replacing it gave quite generous gains?

Am I wrong?

has to be said i have had 2 rolling roads, one corsa sport with a de cat and one with a cat on it and to be honest with you the corsa with the cat still on it had a massivly better power curve. I'd say personally don't bother but thats just my experience with them

i put one on my sport (decat pipe) and it sounds so fapping loud now and really raspy, personnally it embarasses me, but little neds think its cool.....

I agree with stoneyginger, they not really worth it, but i broke 2 cats and thought £50 was better than £200

What's your system consist of at the mo? I've got a Scorpion backbox and a straight through pipe down to the cat, but still got the cat in place, and there's no way i'd want it louder.
