I know a few on here use gps for walking or riding so what do you use? I'm looking for something I can pay a route onto that will then guide me on said route.

I've tried apps on my phone but arnt that good.

Garmin 800, it can map and guide and you upload using a GPX file.

Going to say one of the higher spec Garmins. I got a base model for recording my rides and even that I can upload routes. But, as Rick says the 800 etc are bob on for what you want.

I only got mine for navigation really, its great on roads and beeps at you when you need to turn or if you are off course. It gives a direction to turn at the top of the screen.

That looks spot on. I'm guessing you can zoom right in on the maps also?

Here you go. It will zoom in more but it makes it un readable.

As already said, the garmin edge 800 is a great all rounder
