The Sheffield half marathon has had to be cancelled just before the start due to not enough water for the runners

On a half marathon, you would be drinking a lot more than you'd happily carry along with you. They have water stages along the route normally.

The daft thing being it probably wasn't even counted, odds are it all goes into a computer which spits out the number of entries. So I bet someone really feels like a tit right now

the deliveries didnt get dropped off this morning like planned from the supplier. Couldnt source enough from local supermarkets etc so race director had no option but to 'officially' cancel it. Runners still did it though just for the hell of it as the roads stayed closed.
