My mum's partner has just taken delivery of one and I was rather impressed with it

Great interior and the Glacier White is very nice - very bright but not too much pearl effect

Few pics as it was getting dark

Really nice, prefer the saloon to the hatch. I went in the latest Skoda Octavia at the weekend, got to be up there with the Audi's quality wise, really surprised.

Saloon is fantastic looking. I was disappointed when I sat in one, feels too small. The back is large enough to sit in, but required contortion for me (5"10) to get in and out of. Far better looking than the hatch.

MWG: They really aren't. I nearly bought one, and thought it was an absolutely fantastic car. But I didn't understand why people where harping on about build quality. Did you feel the air vents? They are worse than my citroen! The door handles felt flimsy (inside) and there where many surfaces where the edges weren't finished. It was fitted together solidly but I felt that corners where cut in some areas. Great car but I wasn't swayed on that part.

No didn't feel the air vents. It certainly felt as nice a place to be as the admittedly now old (57 plate) A3 S-line I used to have.

Lovely motor that, does look great in white.

Agree on Skoda, well put together but materials leave something to be desired, when I was choosing between the Mondeo and Octavia the Ford was well ahead

Does the screen lower into the dash when not in use? Or is it like the Mercedes ipad things?

You what? Looks perfect (apart from the screen). Very simple and not a million buttons like other cars.

Saw an A3 saloon few months back I had to do a double take, much prefer it to the hatch. Now seeing the inside of one, I must say it's a quite a nice car.

VW/Seat have had the Bora/Jetta/Toledo for years but now they've brought out slightly less practical versions, they are all the rage.

Toledo has a hatchback style boot.

New A3 convertible is nice as well, used to be a dumpy little funny looking thing but the boot gives it a far nicer proportion.

Making the most, they have watered them down to point there is too much choice.
Between coupes, saloons, sportbacks, gran coupes there is no clear line between platforms.
Surely sales of one type could potentially harm a possible sale of a slightly dearer model as you wanted to stick to your brand but now are offered a multitude of body types at a lower price.
Suppose that's why I'm no marketing expert. I'm sure someone will enlighten

Be interesting to see what you can buy with exactly £27500, used be a small car with spec or a pov big one. Now its probably 5 different models with 5 different body styles.
