I'm moving out this weekend, and have been given a tv cabinet to use, unfortunately my current AV Receiver is huge and won't fit in the cabinet It's a Denon that I bought a few years ago along with my Bose Acoustimass 6 system. So basically I'm looking for a smaller AV receiver to replace the Denon. I've had a look around and can only see a couple of options so far, I don't want to spend too much, does anyone have recommendations on what to go for? Thanks

Get a bigger cabinet.

You'll end up with something worse than the Denon, which seems a daft compromise just for a free cabinet.

Can't really fit much of a bigger cabinet in to be honest, plus it's a really nice cabinet, not just a cheapo one from ikea

Well then I think your options a fairly limited.
Maybe have a look at AiO kits with blu-ray, as they tend to be fairly compact.

I believe Harman Kardon does a kit with the receiver built into the sub, which would eliminate the AVR all together.

Cambridge Audio Azur AV amps are reasonably small; might be worth a look.
