I was thinking this, surely you can buy ones manafactured to size instead of being cut and filled ect? So there till one piece?

They are one piece, the welds stronger then the cast..

Surely there now weaker they've been cut heated cooled heated ect, I personally would ge better having 'one piece' items that are one piece.
But if there safe there safe just my mind would always be thinking what if that fails.

Long over due, quite a few things have been done since the last update.
Inside i didnt want to change much as i liked the trim and oem look so went for a subtle black/bronze D1 snap off
boss, 330mm all black wheel and a stunt peg for a gear knob which was powder coated satin black.
The gottis have been wrapped up (undecided to sell or keep) so i then went on the hunt for another set, but ather then doing the whole 2pc/3pc to get the spec i was after i decided to go down the 'cheap and cheerful' route. I thought hopefully with the specs i go for i can pull off banded steels as they i know they easily look pants in my opinion if done wrong (specs/colour etc)
I had a think of which steels i wanted to start with and when i did i nipped down to my local scrap yard and picked some up (vauxhall 4x100 et49)
The same day i took the tyres off, straightend them as they had a few knocks, wrapped them up and ordered the courier to collect them following day to send them down devon to Banded Steel Wheels (which i cant thank you enough)
The whole process of buying, sending, banding and sent back only took a week!!
Final specs 15x9 et11 & 15x10 et-1
trialed..
Then was to decide a colour, i didnt want to make themlook like something there not so did a full refurb and had them powdercoated satin black. Boring the but the specs do the talking and colour matches the trim etc
(huge thanks to Rob @ Project Wheels)
I bought some adjustable rear camber arms to pull the lip into the body, camber will be a touch less then this once lcas are fitted and the arches are rolled/pulled.
The rear 1/4s have both had new oem corners welded in and painted, i bought a carbon fibre BYS spoiler as seen above (excellent condition and will be pro laquered before sending out) but when it arrived it was awful, i decided to just flat it all down, fill the holes left and paint it satin black. Also bought a mugen front splitter and spoon mirrors..
All that is eft to do now is decide on which coilovers i want to run, buy some lower control arms and get x2 front tyres once i have decided on which size.
cant wait to get out in it now

Welding onto cast is likely to crack, it's not designed to be welded.

Long overdue update, lots has happened..
I fitted the miester coilovers but I could see they were way to soft, so I ordered some 18kg springs to allow me to get a tighter fit (still quite soft), once I was happy with how it sat, I taxed and insured it for its first real outing.
First things firsts I went and had the tracking/alignment done. The guys over at A-line were awesome, didn't faze them how low it was etc and cracked straight on.
I settled on -8.5 degrees in the rear with the toe being bang on all round (front camber arms need fitting when i get chance so i can get that matched up)
So with the car now driving as it should, i contacted a few of the Fourseasons guys (thom & alex) who said they were happy to meet up & do a small shoot.
The pictures came out awesome as seen..
Should have got the C spanners out before the shoot but hay, but this was the result when I did a few days ago..
The bands are just temp wheels until i decide on something..

Welding cast then putting it back on as a stress point on a car with zero suspension travel.
It will snap.
