Rooney gradually edging closer to the record, sterling and welbeck playing well and Kane scores on his debut. Nice easy night.

Forgot to mention the fact that Fraser Forster could've played tonight, such is the lack of Lithuanian attempts on goal.

It's a shame the media are going to be ridiculous tomorrow because of the Kane goal and will heap a stupid amount of pressure on the lad

He seems perfectly comfortable with that pressure tbh. Been banging on about him for months and he's been doing the job for Spuds.

Bit different to putting the 'hopes' of the country on his shoulders as know we're bound to be winning the world cup now

Stfu Steve, it's a bloody friendly, he said before the match they were going to try something out, it didn't work.

Second half however was very good after he'd made changes. Either way, just a friendly. Screamer from Townsend, don't know how he does it for England!

Steve is the ultimate armchair fan. Guy hasn't got a clue mate. He started supporting man united because they were top of the league.

Tbf, the pundits a half time absolutely slated England too, there was no need for it really, don't get me wrong, they weren't great, but it was a bloody experimental friendly, we should be happy he's trying something out. Not trying to destroy him for doing it

Second half was much better.

I'm all for experiments, but you don't need to experiment to already know Phil jones in mf is going to be gash.

For the first time in a long-time I sat through therapist match stuff, mainly because that Cunt Chiles has returned to his hole in the ground, and Roy was very honest about it, he said he wanted to try Jones there in case in was needed in future. He basically insinuated it was a complete failure and they wouldn't be doing in again

Could always be worse anyway. Portugal without Ronaldo lost at home to Cape Verde
