Yeah in my eyes it's a 1.3 as you don't calculate it like a piston engine.

Already ordered some coils just to be safe. It runs spot on but you can never be sure so it's just for piece of mind. Leads are still pretty fresh so won't bother with them and I'll check the plugs when doing the coils. It's sailed it's last 5 mots mechanically and resent emissions test shows its running healthy.

What is it that's wrong with all the ones that say 'hot start issue'?

Poor compression mainly. But it's not uncommon for it to be a slow starter (early models had a slow starter, later had a faster starter) or failing coil packs.

The pre-facelift ones are looking dated now. They look pants in comparison to a late one too.
