I need to replace the centre section and backbox. Its the original exhaust and the car is a 2005 so the 3 bolts/studs that hold the centre section to the Cat look very corroded.

Has anyone and advice on getting these off? And are they studs welded into Cat flange or are they just loose bolts and nuts?

Thanks

Were nuts and bolts on mine.

Use some 6 sided sockets and plenty of plus gas.

6 sided socket and rust solvent.
the genuine studs are just pressed in.
clean the threads you can see before you start to undo the nuts, and get new nuts for refitting as the should be a copper or copper alloy type nut. you may need a smaller socket size like 12mm not 13mm due to the corrosion.
