Bought a 55 Plate Clio 182 Cup tonight, pick it up later this week once I've sorted insurance etc.
Full fat cup pack, 75,000 miles, FSH, belt changed at 51,000, immaculate half leather interior, refurbed alloys in original colour, full milltek stainless exhaust and decat, Silver, no rattles, leaks or knocks and pulls like a bitch!

I'm really looking forward to picking it up, since my BMW was written off and I decided to over to a smaller car, I toyed between the Clio and a Mini Cooper S. The Clio won the toss.

Brilliant things mate.
Mine was doing about 38mpg on trips through Liverpool every day. And was comfortable to drive once I'd put the sport interior you have back in it.
I'd pick my cooper s over my 182 though any day but that's just personal preference.

Why does everyone who buys a Clio feel the need to tell you when the belts were changed
Hi just got an ASTRA VXR belt due in 20k otherwise immaculate.....
In all seriousness, one of the best cars I e ever driven. So much spec for the cash and on an old car too. You will love it, except for the coil packs, lambdas, crank sensor, immobiliser issues.
Pics needed!

I'll admit from the list I've only had the lambda sensors fail on my, £60 for a Bosch part from ECP
I've done approx 44k in mine now and aside from a bearing getting noisy in the gearbox it has been near faultless

It was more me that made an issue of the belts tbf. It was a prerequisite on the sale, if it hadn't had the belt done recently, I probably would have walked away, purely because I know the bloke wouldn't shift anymore on the price and I didn't have the £500 extra to get it done, which is what I normally do when I buy a car with a belt rather than chain.

You mentioned how many miles ago it was done, but not how long ago? Age is also a factor.
Id like to mention my b235r has a chain with 153k miles on it and will probably never need changed.

Absolutely love the car already! So pointy with regards handling and the power delivery feels like a small turbo diesel as its responsive from way down in the Rev range.

At this point (4 years ownership Vs 6 months) I actually prefer my old Clio 182.
I actually owned 2 and they were both silver! Although Racing Blue is my favourite colour.
