Just been for a thrash down the local duel carrageway now that my rebuilt engine is run in. I am slowly increasing the max revs i give it.
If you go round the roundabout in 2nd at 30MPH hold it at 3000RPM then as you come off the roundabout boot it at 5 grand its got an extra kick like a V-TEC engine it spins as i change into 3rd at 6000RPM and i must of got to 100MPH in just less than 20 seconds, then i got stuck behind a bus

No it was doing 60 and i caught up with it quicker than i thought and there was a car in the other lane so i had to slow down.

Its had a rebore,new oversize pistons crank regrind ,lightened and balanced crank and flywheel, stage 2 ported & polished head 6 stage valve seat cut and loads of new gaskets oil seals valve guides water pump,oil pump etc.

A quite extensive rebuild then, what bhp is it puttin out?? Still a 1.6 yea?

Yeah its a C16XE with the induction kit and exhaust i reckon its putting out about 120ishBHP i've got a power boost valve but its not connected up because it was overfueling and it needs setting up on a rolling road,havent got it done yet.

Yeah the front view one is an old pic. I will be putting some new pics on in the next week. I have a new front bumper and stuff.

Ahhh so it isnt an original GSI you've got then?? I was wondering where the GSI bumper went.

It is. I sold the GSi bumper when i first got the car because i couldnt afford to insure it. I was 19 at the time it was last year. I have been looking for a new one since. If i know how hard to come by they were i wouldnt of sold it.

Just raced an W reg Fiesta Zetec S through town. He had a 2 car length head start and i managed to get along side him. We were doing 70 in a 30 duel road near town centre. He was a wanker, thought he was ace.

standard gsi won't do a 20 second to 100. The CTR is 16.5 and 106 GTi is around 21 I think.

Can't remember what it felt like compared to the GT, the handling was so stiff & bouncy i just bounced round corners steering & hoping id end up alive the other side of the corner
