Looking for some info on your equipment:
What spray gun???
What compressor and its spec???
And cost of both???

Get a half decent compressor as if you don't you will have variable air pressure which is a bad thing. Also you need a dust and draft free enviroment to do the painting in. All in your looking at about 500 quid all in i should think maybe 700 at a push. This is before you go buy paint and cock it up several times go get it done by a professional it'll do your nut in otherwise

Listen to Paul. Ive had a few practices and Im still shocking, so I wouldnt try to do a whole car your first time. I did our rally car and its not easy to get it to look right.

But if you do decide to do it, remember the most important thing....HAVE PAITENCE!

i payed 1100 quid for my compressor alone and that was second hand,i payed around 280 quid each for my spray guns,as for a dust and draft free enviroment the only place you'll find that is in a spray booth which range from about 3000 for second hand and about 15000 up for a new one,but you can get dust in the paint just means more work at the end to flat and polish it,but if you ain't done this sort of thing before i would reckomend a professional
