thats right,

i meant mk3 polo gt not the newer gti

the older gt is multi piont injection 1275cc 75bhp and is 800 kg thats quick and would stay wiv a gsi and beat a sport prob

i gotta get a gt wow they're great the speedo goes up to 110 mph but they are known to go of the clock

ps i know its not super fast but i'm lookin for a learnercar you gotta remember

i dont think it would be near the GSI, the mk4 1.416v would give it a good run though

if you do find a GT then the engine mod's list is endless as there was a VW race series with these cars, so tonnes of VW motorsport parts available!!

all the info u'll need

My old gsi used to be able to leave polo 1.4 16v's, and on paper the polo does 0-60 in 10.5 secs which is the same as the Sri and 1.4sport. The new GTi's are quicker though, i think they do it in just under 9secs but aren't they a 1.6?

my missus mk 4 1.3 is seriously nippy compared to the 1.2 8v I drive - but thats nowt impresisve, but another mate has a 1.4 16v and its better than that as well, a really light weight, solidly built car - I want either a mk5 gti or a lupo gt9i next - just for the build quality and stiffness of the chassis, fair enough the suspensions crap on the more basic models, but stiffen it up and tinkle withit and it far out paces a corsa

I'd like a mk4 1.4 16v Polo as my next car.
I've heard it's 100bhp but a little heavy due to build quality, but I still think they looks great!
