Has anyone used the company Chips away? The ones who repair only damaged area's of paintwork.
Some little sh|ts threw an egg at my Dad in his Porsche and its damaged the paint on the bonnet, he's a bit frightened of getting chips away to repair it if its gonna be a shit job..
Help appreciated.

I had it a scratch done on mine and it was a really big and deep scratch and they did a top job, can't see anything wrong now.

I'd take it to Porsche. I'm guessing your dad isnt hard up if he has a Porsche.

Its not a 100k Porsche, its a Brand new Boxster which he pait 42k for. Still Porsche will wanna respray the whole bonnet and will charge LOTS. Just wanna know what the quality of Chips away work is?

Its not the cost of buying the porshce thats expensive, i'm guessing ownership isnt exactly cheap. Not like you can go buy a new air filter and brake pads from Halfords is it??

hmm i used chips away for alloy repair i cant tell where the damage used to be..but it differs from the person doing it..id rather take it to porsche piece of mind thing....cos if u had enough to pay for a porsche surely u can pay to get it repaired.....lol

Must have been a big impact speed, speed of the egg being thrown plus speed he was travelling at. Wouldnt take much to scratch it.

I'd get it done by chips away as they come nad do it there, they mix up the paint themselves to get exact match and basicly if it don't look like new then you don't pay the chumps and the go take it to porsche.
