I've got my MOT soon, and have just bought some 16" alloys. My spare is 13" - is this a problem come MOT? the 13" steelie is road-legal tread wise, just a few inches too small for the rest now!
What happens if I get a flat? will tyre-weld help?

you are allowed different sizes as long as you plan to head to the garage or straight home on it- why no ring the breakdown truck anyway??

they never even checked my spare when i had my MOT so dont worry about it! There are suppsoed to though b4 anyone says it! I just think as long as your car is well maintained they dont bother checkin it!

no part of the boot comes into the mot so spare is not needed i havent got one i dont imagine many people on here with custom exhaust have

if the spare aint there it cant fail
tvr's etc just have a can of holts tyre weld.

coz a fiesta zetec s has 15" wheels
but a 14" spare
so it should pass

most Bi-fuel cars have tyre weld instead of a spare wheel too.
the MOT guy didn't even chenck in my boot.
