.... My car's been playing up

It keeps popping when it's being driven and when its ideling the revs keep going up and down pretty quick

I've got a 57i K&N induction fitted, I was thinking that may be the problem???

Also, the I've got a Toad alarm and it's started making a weird tapping noise and I cannot arm or disarm it Toad are coming out on Thursday but I don't wanna wait that long

Can anyone help? I know it's in the wrong forum but this one seems very popular

Idle control valve sounds about right...its a known problem with vauxhalls my 1.6 sport had the same thing...had it in the dealership about 5 times for it...kept cutting out and idling like crap!

yeah i have this problem too... it is the idle control valve, dont know how expensive they are, anybody??

if your lucky it will just be a case of cleaning some muck out of the idle valve

I got mine done under warranty so couldnt tell u how much...imagine with vauxhall your talking hundreds if it needs to be replaced...although as mentioned arelier they normally just clean it and put the same one back on!
