I put a post up ages ago about bonding a fiesta mk 4 plate recess into a post 97 corsa rear, this is what koni replied with

Fibreglass and filler over plastic WILL crack, doesnt matter how much you key the plastic surface. You can also buy a specially flowable filler from from ITW finsihing, which is again designed for plastics, this couple be used to finsh your repair lines.
As for the number plate light, cut hol, hot glue, nice and tidy fit and it wont look out of place.

any 1 know where i can buy these plastic bonding kits and filler from? Tried most bodyshops, but say they cant sell the public them due to health an safety or sumfin gay like that.

I also blended a Ibiza splitter into a standard plastic bumper, and it never cracked once. It clipped speed bumps and everything.

koni is right your best working with the same materials as what your using i.e pastic with plastic i did a recess for a mate i platic welded the recess in using a solderin iron and smoothed off the edges best i could with 120's sand paper then put a real fine skim in to cover the scratch marks and to totally smooth it out,its fine he's had no probs with it

i suggest you try here and click the bodyshop section at the top
