i have an R reg 1.2 8v, the power output is crap and so is power takeup. i was wondering if there is anything i can do to improve the power on the standard engine, such as if there is any tweaks to the carb etc....

There is nothing u can do mate. Just drop a bigger engine in there, its the best power upgrade u can do per ££.

PS: 1.2 8v's are fuel injected, therefore u do not have carbs on ur car.

Would agree with matty b, 1.2 8v's are a pile of poo, my gf has one and going from my car into that is feckin killer

Yup, slow shite engine.
Have one myself, just got stainless system and K&N 57i on it, doesnt pull well really but after nailing it for a while I have learnt the best way to get the power out, only the little bit.
Raced a 1.2 8V other day, absolutly hammered him, passed him easily and he was nailing it too, gear changing at the same time and all that.

cheers anyway....i no they are fuel injected but i was on about the thing thats like a carb that sits on top of the inlet manifold as it is single point not multi point injection

thats the injector housing and no they can-not be tweaked like carbs can
