dont give up fella, you will just wonder for the rest of your life. be patient and stick by her, she will eventually realise shes with the wrong person, even if it takes a long time, dont pressure her, she has to find out for herself.

Jesus Kris that sounds terrible. He's not violent, he's not like that - but he is a low-life who sinks to low levels to try and hold her back.
Its not that shes scared of him in that sense, she's scared he may hurt himself because of her, and not be ok without her - when of course he will be!
She just doesn't want to hurt his feelings in fear of the drug use, drink and generally making him feel sad.
the fact he fcued another girl a week after getting engaged seems not to matter - the fact he hurt her so much -- and him still being such a part in her life means that she'll be constantly reminded - he's making / keeping her life crap. I think he knows im better for her and he's scared, but she's simply too damn nice and doesn't wantto hurt his feelings.
My feelings on the other hand seem totally irrelevant 
Itsjust leaving him and staying on the track to true happiness - she just can't do it. It kills. He's done al this stuff, yet she still sees him, talks, go out with him - its so stupid. she just refuses to believe wht I say from experience may be true to her.

I've told her im not gonna give up, and I'll always be there for her. I'm gonna fight for her till the end, till theres no hope, and right now there is.
I just want to rescue her before she has to be hurt, disappointed or waste more of her life finding out the hard way that some things change, and somethng are just meant to be.
One good thing is that if I can do this, I feel I can do anything. I'm offering her everything (except my car), so if eventually we can be together, It'll be the most cherished, respected and honoured thing in my life. Its just getting there
