Had a K+N on my 1.0 12v corsa and it sounded ok but for some reason my engine didnt like it an took away some power which you dont need when you only got 50bhp as it is. I took the k+n off and put the standard box back on with a few mods to it that were kindly posted by the other CS members, it sounds better than a k+n and performs much better too. I reckon youd be wastin your money if u got a k+n.

my corsas a 1.0 mate and i couldnt afford to get a K+N cos im a cheapskate and i didnt wanna go choppin my airbox or nethin so i got an £8 citroen ax air filter from halfords which is more or less a cone filter waiting to be bolted on!! i removed my airbox completely and slapped a rubber seal on the filter and it connected right on to the inlet pipe and used a jubilee clip to make a good seal. the air feed that was feeding the air box is still there but is now feeding cold air in the direction of the filter and the car sounds like a scooby or evo!! deep throaty acceleration and nice purr on low revs.
cheap but effective dude

Has to be better than standard. Drill the airbox if anything.
