Iv just brought a laptop with xp home ed'.
I set up a dial up connection and logged on to the net and withing a couple of minutes i got a message saying that there is an error and windows needs to shut down. Now every time i log on to the net, within a couple of minutes it happens and it gives me about 60 sec countdown to shutting down.
This only happens when i am connected.
I heard there mith be a virus that infected machines with xp but i havn't received any emails on to the laptop so is there anyother way one could have infected my laptop.
Before i take the laptop in to the menders, does anyone know how to sort the problem out.
Cheers for your help.
