When i change gear you can hear a squeeling noise when the clutch is pressed it is only a short noise, just like a little squeel when i press and change gear? Any ideas?

could be the clutch cable spray some cable grease down the pipe.

its the clutch mate, I had the same noise on my car, changed the clutch and now its clean as a whistle, just change the clutch, if you're after the part cheap look on yell.com for a company in burton on trent called clutch distributors, they sell em at trade price to the public, everywhere wanted £80-£100 for mine, I got it from CD for £30 and fitted it myself, easy enough to do, just time consuming, means droppinmg the gearbox

sounds like the clutch release bearing.but you might as well change the whole clutch as you have to take it out to get to it..

finally i'm getting somewhere...
I have been investigating this for bloody ages now and the car always felt strange and i was suspisious that it was the clutch because the clutch always felt jerky and squeeled....Anyone had this problem then? would it afect the whole feel of the car if the clutch release bearings were going... Its just that my car feels really crap sometimes! Cheers guys!
