£2500 on insurance??

I dont exactly get paid mega money, but i could afford it next year if i was to make a few sacrifices, and if i get my expected payrise at work.

I would be buying a Seat Leon Cupra R on finance if anyone wanted to know what it was to insure.

So would you pay it?? or wait a year or so for the price to drop by roughly £500/£600???

Id have to have the car garaged over-night (not a problem), and doing 8k miles a year (would have to hold back on trips to southend!) to get the insurance for that price.

I want that car!

what to do

I'm looking at a quote of around £1800-£2000 for my next car, but if I take it out on a classic car policy, it comes down to about £1200

Thats alot of money mate for insurance but if u can afford it - fuck it!
If your gunna buy a car on finance id see if i can get 1 years free insurance with it but if you really want a cupra then you gunna have to pay! Be worth it though!

Mate mate mate you sound like me!

If you don't get payed much now matter how much you sacrifice you can't pay finace and that much insurance

How long's the finance for?? How much is it??? How much a month is the finance???

I aint trying to take the piss here but even though you might think you can afford it you can't and you will dig yourself a very big hole.Trust somone who has been there and done it..

Gambit is right good things come to those who wait.

You must be F**king mad in my opinion.
You are buying the car on finance for a start, then you are gonna spend 2.5k to insure it, mate you well end up in debt up 2 ur eye balls, dont do it.
Get something you can afford, you well only regret it in a years time when the car has depriceated by 3 grand!!
Soz to sound negative, but thats my opinion!!

Hmm, I suppose if i waited a year i could have a nice hefty deposit on the 225bhp model and insurance will be a tad more realistic!

Vrrrrrrmmtshhhh

sorry i obviously have not been clear on this, the finance on the cupra would be for a second hand 180hp model from a Seat garage, and i would have a few grand deposit, so its not like i would be paying for ever.

And i wouldnt get the finance if a bank loan was the cheaper option.

I have already thought this through,....... and as i said at the start....

..... i can afford it if i wanted!

So your lookin at over £200 a month just for the insurance and what? Say £200 for the finance/loan? How much do you get a month?

Petrol/Tax/MOT's/Parts/Mods/Service's/Tyres They all add up mate..
