As from December 2003 the law will be changed to do with mobile phones
as we all should know if you are found using you mobile pone while driving you will be pulled over and cautioned but as from December if you are found using your mobile phone while driving you will recieve an automatic 3 points and anything up to £1000 fine!!!!
same as a speeding ticket i guess.
SO its all time to get ya hands free kits out and stop texting while driving

Good. You either drive the car or play with the phone. Simple.
Some dozy b!tch nearly drove right into me last week becasue she was too busy pissing around with her phone.

I think even if you caught answering your phone by pressing it! Even if you have a handsfree that gunna be included in the fineable offences.

my hands free has a button on it to answer and hang up so i dont have to touch my phone!!
its all got to do with having your hands off the wheel or gear stick and not having full control of car!!

the law is that if you have a phone in your hand whilst the key is in the ignition then you do not have full control of the car and thus can be prosecuted

Jeremy Clarkson was on about it on Top Gear a few weeks ago, saying that if they let one armed people drive cars then why isn't a person in full control if they're holding a mobile to their head. fair point.
I however agree with Dayzee, it is very distracting when the phone rings and you're concentrating on what the other person is saying and trying to drive, its different than talking to someone in the passenger seat.
Either drive with no distractions, or stop somewhere and use the phone

I personally feel that this is wrong to inforce.
I will use the point about one handed people and the fact that if its fine to have a passenger in the car and talk to them then why isn't it ok to talk to someone through a phone, no different if you ask me.

Since ive got an automatic now im a bit peeved that i have to use a hands free!
Well from december anyway!
Aint gonna stop me eating my McMuffins in the morning on me way home from work though cos if a one armed perosn is alowed to drive an automatic, why cant i eat?
Basicly, they know they cant stop all people using there mobiles so there just gonna make money out of it like speeding.
Bet they'll make a special "speed" camera to try catch people.

Driving with one hand is easy, you try doing it with head tilted, thats not something I'd want to do more often.
Get a handsfree kit and stop putting yourself in danger.
