ok ive removed the headunit and the glovebox, then taken my changer out of the glove box and its all packed neatly in a box
he says all he needs is the changer cable, any idea how i remove this please

Well the cable from the changer, will run to behind the head unit me thinks, its not a great distance for the cable to travel. Follow the cable from the changer, if it was installed after as in not factory fitted the cable will probably be cable tied under the dash, just follow the cable and cut it away from fixings as necessary

yes i did them 2 screws like u showed me, that was the easy bit. then i brought the glovebox in the house and had to undo a further 5 screws to get it off the glove box. now thats all packed and ready to go but i cant get the changer cable out

well in that case the wires will be part of the loom i would of thought, check what wires are at the plug at either the head unit end or changer end and follow these through the loom cutting them out as you go, if this is the case remember to tape the loom back up, before you do this get some cable ties and balck electrical tape, to replace what you have had to cut.

Kerry have a look at where the head unit went. Is there a metal cage there? i don't remeber seeing it yesterday. if there is take that out cause it goes with the head unit. there should be wires behind there for the arial and the cd autochanger.

is the cage bolted in??? Cages have metal tabs that bend upwards to hold them in the dash try to see if this is the case and bend the tabs down. I aint fitted a stereo on your kind of car before so i am just guessing what it could be,

awww u bleeding!
some of the pins inside the cage will be pushed down. pull these up and the cage shoudl come out

no i already knew about the tabs from things ive learnt in the past but already looked for them
ive left it now im gettin mad il send him the rest and continue with the cable saga when im calm
