say the corsa is fairly modded 1.6 16v, zorst , induction kit, inlet manifold, superchip

the Golf Gti, im not sure wat they come in, 1.6gti 16v, 1.8gti 16v, 2.0gti 16v but mainly the mark 2/3 coz their faster,

just wondering coz never heard or seen these cars race

1.8 8v 1.8 16v and 2.0 16v. against a mark 3 gti 2.0 16v id say with those mods listed the corsa would be slightly quicker off the mark but the golf might be able 2 get by at about 50, would be pretty close though

a mk2 will probly kill the gsi

i always struggled against gti's

but then all along i said i was never confident with my engine

gsi will kill all 1.6/2.0 gtis except maybe the 1.8t but i still think it would be close. golfs are heavy for what they are thats why they need the r32 to go up against the focus rs and astra gsi

mk1 and mk2 golf will eat corsa for breakfast mk3 and mk4 are gutless so i'd say the corsa would win

Mk 2 16-valver Golf GTi - 139bhp and 925kgs

Corsa GSi - 106/109bhp and 1025kgs

Do the maths.

And the infinitely superior out of the box handling of the Golf compared to a Corsa, makes it even quicker round the twisty bits.

mk3 16v are a lot quicker than the 8vs too - totally different cars

My Corsa
Corsa GSI - 140BHP+ thats the minimum guess probably a bit more, race GTI's all the time and beat them easy, even beat RS turbos

ive had an audi a3 (basically the same as a mk4 gti) and a corsa gsi

even tho the a3/gti were turbo the gsi felt a lot more responsive but no way would the gsi beat the audi.

gave mum a blip on way back from leeds (she was driveing audi) and she killed me

the mk1+2's would beat ya,
the mk3+4's are soo heavy, u'll prolly get off to a good start, but they will overtake u eventually
