Text When i bought my corsa c early on this year i presumed it'd have an alarm. The manual says that when the alarm is armed an led flashes on the hazard light button. No flash i'm afrad. Does this mean it hasnt got one or has the led gone? is there any way i can test for an alarm? Help would be much appreciated, i live a bit of dodgy area!

In that case, unless you paid extra for it then you wont have an alarm I'm afraid, just remote central locking.

look near the 'map reading' lights, if there are 2 little black bits that look like tiny microphones then u have an alarm.
To test it, leave a window down, lock the car, then put your arm through the window.
Siren = alarm
nothing = no alarm.

Aye, they're the little black bits that jrsteeve si referring to above.
As I say though, the alarm was a cost option from the dealer, so if you didn't specify it, you haven't got one.

Nah, plenty of others (and better) around elsewhere.
Check in your local ICE shop, they'll usually supply and fit alarms too.

get a max pooper mag or an ice mag, and look for the ads in the back for alarm fitters who will fit on-site.
I got a Toad 850, which works with the original key - no extra fob needed. I think it cost about £300 fitted with a few extras.

Out of interest whilst we're on the subject has anyone ever fitted their own alarm? I have fitted alot of ICE in mine and other people's cars, but never an alarm.

My dad did in his VW passat, he just hooked it up to all the interior light sensors so obviously when the door opened the alarm went off.
