Well built my PC last thurs and its been 100% stable! Very pleased with the 64Chip and that with my 9800XT the PC runs a dream!



got 20k and thats just standard, not tweaked anything yet

Use 3dMark03, it gives a better score (and it's what everyone else uses these days)...

thats not too bad actually. 2 friends are running 22/23k but overclocked.

2k1 is a far better as its not GPU intensive. All you needs a 9800 to score high on 2003

I knew ATI cheated with the configs, to maximise stuff just for 3dMark03...

I just tried my old copy of PC marks 2001 I have on my Pc ... here's the result



I wondered why some games were going really slow

nah, in my computers defence - A) its shit, old and out dated, half the tests it didn't have support more so I got a auto 0, and B) I've been using my pc all afternoon and had quite a few things still open when I did it.

hehe, I know I need to upgrade - but I'm waiting until next year so things are cheaper as I don't really need it that much now. although that score would suggest I do - I don't play that many games, so

ATI didnt cheat to get better results on 3d Mark,

They are actually better cards, much faster, made full use of Direct X, had all the filtering and such like.........just better.

900 mhz athlon, 256mb of old style slow ram, Geforce GTS 2 ... no wonder its slow as

painz, how much did the lot set u back? I think im gonna upgrade my 2600+ to the 3000+ for now and wait till i can afford the 64bit chip! Im making some computers for friends over xmas, so i can give em my old stuff and charge em a bit less, whilst upgrading mine!
