I wanna go for 18's on my corsa i currently have 17" dare v2's lowered 40mm at the back and about 20mm at the front on coilovers.
Basically i wanna get 18's to gain an extra inch ground clearance so i can lower the front more without my predator front bumper grounding! Will this work?
Also the wheels i have in mind are Masitaly VT7 what do u think?http://www.domlanemotorsport.com/masitaly.jpg

i think they will give you jsut shy of an extra inch tbh, cause at the mo your on 40 profile, but the 18s will probably be 35 profile, so you lose 5mm there, but gain an inch in wheel diameter, so a litttle less that an inch
think thats right

nah it won't look like a tractor cause you've got a huge bodykit on it, so i think i should equal out ok
plus you've got coilovers so you can make perfect adjustments.

adding an extra inch wont work.
because the inch is over the whole lenght of the wheel (top to bottom)
so really you'll only get 1/2 an inch extra.
but if you change your tyres and stuff then i dunno.

17 to 18's is and inch difference, but its not and inch at the top of the wheel and an inch at the bottom of the wheel. its half and inch each side, so its only gonna be an extra half inch of the ground.

not true
the 40 and 35 is a % of the width
here goes......
205/40/17 =
=(((205/100)*40)/10)+(17*2.54) = 51.38cm in height
=(((215/100)*35)/10)+(18*2.54) = 53.25cm in height
=1.865cm difference
/2 = 0.93cm higher
