Ricky's exit
Heard the first rumour regarding this today.
Apparently Janine confesses to Ricky that she pushed Barry over the cliff killing him. However as the police close in she stitches Ricky up. Paul comes forward as her witness and Ricky is gaoled for a crime he did not commit.
Spoilers
Minty
Minty is about to get his very own storyline.
Apparently he sets fire to Angie's Den in a revenge attack for Den stitching Phil up over the robbery.
Unfortunately Tariq is inside ripping the place off and dies in the fire.
Bobby
Bobby suffers kidney failure after contracting Measles. The only way to save him is for someone to donate a kidney. Laura is not a match so Garry volunteers only to be told by the hospital staff that he isn't the father.
Laura pleads with Ian to have a blood test telling him that he's the father. Ian refuses until Pat talks him round. He is found to be the perfect match but is hurt and confused to find he is Bobby's dad after all.
(Personally I'm a bit unsure of this one, can they fit an adult kidney into a child's body?)

Mo's rapist, Graham makes friends with Charlie much to Mo's distress. He also buys her a birthday present. She decides to tell Billy who although shooked says he'll stick by her and gets her to go to the police. Meanwhile Graham claims Mo asked him to sleep with him and that she was planning to leave Billy. Billy finds out and starts avoiding her.
Alfie lies to Kat about his divorce and she is made even more unhappy when Big Mo presents her with a Christmas cake and suggests re-icing it for her wedding.
Dan throws Ash out when he finds out about his relationship with Shirley. He then visits the bookies to shout abuse at her. Ash moves in with Shirley.
Martin arranges a trip to Scotland for the New Year.
Jim and Patrick get into training for their boxing match.
Barry tells Janine that he's planned a wedding in Gretna Green. He asks Paul to be best man.
The Watts family see Den off as he leaves the square to sort out some loose ends in Spain.
Lynne telss Garry she's changed her mind about the divorce and announces she is pregnant.
In case you haven't heard Kacey Ainsworth is pregnant and will be written out of EE for a short while until the risk of miscarriage is past.
Bosses are doubly delighted at the news as they were planning to make Little Mo pregnant following her rape.
Sam
Phil tells Sam she's in charge while he's in jail. She takes over the Arches, the snooker club, the cafe and the Vic. Phil asks Minty to keep an eye on her and back her up if she needs help. The first thing she does is rip up Den's contract to buy the Vic.
Kate's big secret
Mo turns to Kate after she is raped but Kate cannot cope after admitting she witnessed her own mother being rape when Kate was just a child.

Births/pregnancies
Little Mo, Lynne and Kat are all set to give birth in 2004 and all within a
couple of weeks of each other.
Sharon will also find herself prgnant but will loose the baby.
Marriages
Martin and Sonia tie the knot as will Paul and Janine. Patrick is also
rumoured to get hitched but the lucky lady will not be Yolande.
Ash and Shirley - (only a rumour so far)

Deaths
Mark will finally pop his clogs in 2004 and his will be one of the grandest
funerals the square has ever seen.
Other (so far mostly unconfirmed) deaths are said to include most of the
Ferreria's. Supposedly killed off in a revenge arson attack by the evil
Gavin.
Jim Branning - heart attack.
Nana Moon - quietly in her sleep.
Barry - of course.
Kelly - car crash
Andy - wiped out in a gangland shoot out.
Tariq - killed in a fire - unknown whether at Angie's Den or Ferreria's
arson attack.
Divorces
Laura and Ian ( Laura will be leaving EE in 2004).
Returners
Peggy will return with Grant to sort out Phil's business affairs.
Michelle and Kathy return for Mark's funeral - Michelle stays on for
Martin's wedding but she will NOT be played by Susan Tully. Well not unless
Susan has a last minute change of mind as casting for the new Michelle
starts after Christmas.
Nigel returns to support Dot after Jim's death, he is also part owner of the
snooker hall and sells his share to Grant.
