2.0 20v Turbo, 220bhp
Good, but far outweighed buy other engines in this class.

IMO of course.

Ryan, the old LET is a damn good engine, but IMO, still not in the same league as the Cosworth or Evo engines.

Not many 2.0 16v's been tuned to over 600bhp.

Oh, durr, but the Z20LET isn't that great (As yet) to tune. Only heard of about 300bhp for road use being done, which simply isn't good enough.

But there still developing that engine and its well old now.

i supoose the VX220 engine is ideal for the car its in, being made almost entirely of aluminium (weight) means handling isn't compromised.

I've always wondered is the engine mentioned above a Vauxhall engine or have Lotus sourced it from somewhere else

Engine is Vauxhall, think the chassis is a Lotus design, or the suspension, not quite sure, but i think Lotus had a small part in it.

The VX220 is made at Hethel, the Lotus factory along with the Elise i think the engine maybe the only major involvement Vauxhall have to do with the car

MR2 turbo engine is excellent and bulletproof. Not many turbos are as reliable in standard and modified form.
