3 door RS's came out officialy on a D plate. atough there was one or 2 C plates.
most of the RS 500s were E reg, around 1987

the Rs500 was realsed as a road version around 87
but did compete in Touring car around 1982 ( i think)

tahst imposible as it was only homlegated in 1987 so ford could'nt have used it 5 years previously, the were still campaining the zakspeed capri in the DRM at the times as well

yea i said i think, i was sure it was around 1986
S1 turbo is my fav by far and ive owned a few. along with a couple of S2's, and a few others
my bro has had load of S1's also a 3 door cossie and escort cossie.
u could pretty much say im a die hard Ford fan. been working on them for a while now

The RS1600i was excellent, you can adjust the suspension in more ways than you could shake a stick at! Plus I think its all rose jointed ect....
