Just fitted some blue LED's behind my speedo, just wana know if i should scratch the surface of the LED to spread the light a bit more evenly, cos ive got a few hotspots and a few places where there isnt much light, cheers,

get brighter bulbs
my leds are clear but shine blue
scratch blue painted ones and they will shine clear

What i mean is will it diffract the light better?

Depends entirely HOW you scratch them!
You could make it worse if your nt careful.

Yes, it will break the concentrated beam in the same way as diffused leds. Give it a light rub with a fine wet and dry paper.
