Seems to us there's a lot of un-tapped and overlooked tallent in the forums TV visits. So we've decided to kick-off a pretty cool competition for the start of 2004.
For those of you with sickeningly good Photoshop tallent, this is for you. We want you to manipulate, morph, change, chop, shop, fiddle with and generally tweak some of Vauxhalls new motors. In return, the best will get £175 and the runner up gets £75. Easy enough? Anyway, here's the gen...
Total Vauxhall Photo-Chop Competition 2004
Photographs: Please use standard Vauxhall released/press pics only. All images should be based on models on sale in 2004.
What we're looking for: We’re looking for your idea of how cool a certain model could be - a smoother Signum? Wide arch VX220? Cleaned-up Corsa? It’s your call.
And we're not just after mad roof chops, sic paint jobs or morphs of Corsas with Vectra front ends and slammed on 24in alloys. So how about these little pointers... Think along the lines of Meriva GSi, Corsa GSi or serious V8 Signum. How about a VX220 4x4 or Audi Allroad style Signum? Maybe create your own race or rally version of a current model. How about a BTCC Meriva or WRC Astra?
Prize: The best will receive £175 and the runner up will receive £75. There are no alternatives and you cannot exchange it for your own weight in cake and/or fine wine.
Quality: Pic quality must be a minimum of 300dpi and measure at least 150mm x 100mm in size. Unless it’s been done in Illustrator, which would be nice.
File size: No bigger than 6 meg please
Who wins: The TV editorial team will choose the winner(s) based on adaptation of the vehicle, originality and how damn cool it looks. The best of the entries will be printed in Total Vauxhall where the winner will be announced. Enter as many times as you like.
Send: Send your entry along with your name, address, phone number, which forum you’re a member of and the before and after images to photochop@totalvauxhall.co.uk.
The before pic can be as small as you like, but big enough to compare it to the worked image. Please supply the finished image to the spec above.
Entry deadline: Entries close on the January 19th 2004.
Good luck to all!
