Some say it’s the poor man’s Elise, but there’s nothing poor about a turbo charged variant of Vauxhall’s 2 litre Twin Cam (especially when compared with the 1800cc Rover K Series). Besides, it’s got the same bonded, extruded aluminium chassis as the Elise, put together by Lotus on the same production line.
The other principle differences are that the VX is cheaper and (arguably) better looking.
