they are about et 38, but et20 - et 38 would be fine depending on what look you go for. Et45 are totally wrong for it.

I don,t think so ma bro has a golf mk1 and i think he tried some of a corsa and they did not fit that good

If the other dimensions are OK you could use a spacer to bring offset down.
