hi there just got 2 cobra sidewinders for crimbo but just found out that the corsa sport has seat belt tensioners that are a b**ch to refit with these seats. i wud like to fit harnesses but i wana be able to have people in the back can anyone help on how to mount harnesses. ive seen a corsa with the mountin poins at the bottom of the back of the seats does this involve a lot of work??

i thnik u need to get longer bolts for ur back seat belts and the just bolt on to ther i THINK been the word it tells u in the haynes manual

yea they will have to get over the harness and sit with it inbetween there legs i think

u want the 3 points that have got a clip atthe back which u can detatch

harnesess and rear seats are not a good idea, not sure Mr MOT will like it either

Mr MOT is fine with it as he is with mine. Just buy longer bolts and you share the rear seatbelt buckle mounts. You can still carry rear passengers as the harnesses go at the sides of them and the unclippable ones are a good idea to help with the ease of getting rear passengers in and out and if you ever want to transport anything large in the rear

MOT'ing is fine, its not illegal neither, however you must mount the harnesses with a 45 degree angle otherwise if you were to have a bump your shoulders will come out of their sockets, plus its illegal to have them mounted to the rear seatbelt clip

well thats where they were in my corsa and i was stopped numerous times and never had a word said, the car was searched and allsorts! at least its still a tested mounting point for strength, unlike drilling your own mounting hole

yeah, I dont believe anything that is OK for the Ministry Of Testing wouldnt turn out to be illegal. You are allowed to share rear seatbelt mounts...

coopers searched round my car once, i had illegal lights, knightrider strips on while i was driving the car, and a way too low sunstrip

i mounted mine to the original back seat mountings.
