Purge valves basically release the NO2 (nitrogen dioxide/Nitrous) that is currently in the feed lines so it can be replaces with fresh NO2 from the bottle.
You can get the look alike effect from having a bottle of CO2 (carbon dioxide) instead. no turbo needed. Basically works off an actuator and a valve.
