0-60 Challenge at York.
19th December: The UK's York Dragway is to host a 0-60 Challenge on 9th May 2004, writes PR Howard Holmes. A 0-60 challenge, not organised by York, took place in Derbyshire early in 2003 in far-from-perfect conditions for any of the contestants, although a number of drag racers put up a good showing.
"This new gig code-named 2NZ will take place on 9th May", says Howard. "It will include a proper 0-60 Challenge using all the appropriate radar and satellite technology. And of course, you will be able to run the quarter mile with all the times and speeds that the SPI timing system provides.
"Needless to say, this Challenge will be taking place at a proper IOPD-sanctioned event, on a race track, with marshalling, fire and ambulance crews. Competing cars will have to have tax, MoT and street trim, other details will be finalised in due course.
"This event will be oversubscribed, so please E-Mail me at howardholmes@btinternet.com to register your interest, please include car and contact details."

If it has to be road legal then I'm out of it. I will try to book in for Brighton sped trials in September. Car never seems to be finished, just a varying state of disrepair!
