Anyone know how to treat it and stop it from coming back? Found a small patch of rust behind the dash which is leaking water and needs to be treated before it gets worse.

waxoil is more of a underside protection, can see it working to well from inside the car

waxoyl will be fine if its behind the dash - its just a rust protector

or sand back the rusty bit to the bare metal, get some acid-etch primer, spray it, then give it a top coat of paint

Theres a company who come to your house and do it olly, aint that much neither - there in yellow pages i cant member the name (if u dont wanna do it yourself that is) my gf had some on her olf Festa and they did for £100, good job n all!

I do not wish for any company to get involved in this project up until it goes into the bodyshop for re-spraying.

I will use sand it down, treat it, then underseal it.
