Don't bother with it on a Corsa unless you're happy to space the wheels out so they don't fould on the struts... then flare out the arches so they don't catch...

is it best just to get normal lowering kit say apex or FK ?

Depends what you're after by lowering the car.
If you only want to lower the car a little, just get Eibach springs - £130-140.
If you want to lower the car more, say 40mm+ on a well priced kit, then FK Budget or Apex.
If you want an excellent quality suspension kit then FK HighTec, Koni or Bilstein.
If you want coilovers then FK HighSport (or KonigSport).
-60mm drops can be had from both the budget and more expensive Apex and FK suspension kits.
Don't even consider lowering more than -40 on any springs alone. Eibach do an extra low kit which works well, but you should still think about uprating the shocks.
