It only means that a thread you've contributed in has been trashed, not one you originally posted. My percentage is quite high for the same reason. I often say goodbye

It only shows you five, if there are more than this it sums them in to Others.

Your Trash Can percentage is high if you post in threads that are later trashed. Doesn't mean you caused it, just that some of your replies are now in there.
