how much would it cost to get a cam belt, brake disks and pads changed?

i got quoted 250 for parts, labour and vat, this seem ok?

he's picking the car up from work and dropping it off, suppose he's adding this to labour, but still seemed a bit much

There not hard jobs (Ok camb belt maybe difficult if you dont know much).

Discs and pads can be changed yourself in under an hour. Buy a Haynes manual.

thanks, sounds like a good idea ill give the breaks a go...

anyone know of a garage in surrey that will swap the belt cheapish or is anyone capable near surrey that is nice enough to help me out???
