Just been talking to a mate on MSN, and he reckons throttle bodies significantly reduce an engine's life. Is this true?

not true, but revving the engine more will. so if you extend the rev limit it will, but directly fitting TB's only won't.

depends on what u mean shorten an engines life, u usualy uprated internal engine parts the more tunning u do, so not really shortening it, just costs more lol
