I have a Corsa GSI for sale. Its pretty much standard except for its been lowered and has aftermarket exhaust. Its beign advertised locally at the weekend for £2,450.00. I can email you a picture if you like.

RS 2000 2wd cheap insurance through RS owners club (these cars a a serious dark horse performance wise) quicker than GSI Astra

Prelude VTEC!!!

Get a good Jap import one for 2.5k..

0-60 in 6.6 1/4mile in 14.8... Cant complain... Never break down either unlike Ford or Renaults (no offence)...

The sound of them is awesome

7800 RPM out of a Standard 2.2 litre lump, pushing 197bhp.. cant be bad can it?

Bert, where did you get the stats on the escort? All the tests ive seen point to the astra whooping the RS2000's arse..

Anyway the PRelude is in another league.. I bet if you try one you'll buy one..

I took mine to the limiter at least 5-10 times per day, had it for 2 years, never missed a beat..

Best 0-60 I recorded (timed on an apexi RSM) - 6.2 seconds, thou 6.4 was easily acheivable.

Exhaust, filter and VAFC and it was at 214bhp. 1/4 mile in 14.7 seconds.
