i heard these were illegal if you are found with one on toyr car you can be prosecuted
also if you have one and have a crash your isurance is viod
i mean this to cars that have a engine with a cat like the 16v sport ones
not 2ltr 16v that didnt have one

A cat is essential for MOT after a certain year due to emmisions.
Insurance would probably say its a performance enhancing modification and therefore invalidate your policy if you had a smash

although my mot place which im not naming will mot your car if they know you with a decat pipe on, but only this year as next year all the emissions is going computerised and linked straight to swansea, so there will be no more dodgy mot's.

what bout if you have a car that original requires a CAT, but then you install a pre-cat engine, do you still need one then.
