I dunno wot it is but my 1st 2nd and reverse gear seem to be going in really hard.. been like that since i bought it i heard apparently its to do with some sort of plate under the gear box anyone got any idea???? its ok when i first start the motor or when i turn it off to change gear... or stop but not while im driving, also got a problem my handbrake needs tightening where do i do that!!! Be great if someone could get back to em asap!! Thx Lads.

sounds a bit like what happened to my gears so i adjusted the gear linkage. simple job (its in the haynes manual.)

^^ agreed. This happened to mine too, although could be a possibility of a badly adjusted clutch as this was the prob with mine.

very common problem...
i get it in 1st and reverse...and happens alot when the car is cold!
