Does anyone know what the terms are when it comes to mods? I might get a 1.4 sxi on free insurance, but my new one will sport the same mods as my current on. I don't want the mods themselves insured but i want the car to be (obviously)
Anyone who knows your help would be appreciated

If i am correct, I've been told that the £1000 cover is only liable for body mods that have been bought from Vauxhall themselves!
Which basically means you have to go to Vauxhall buy the parts from vauxhall at their prices!
I'm not entirely sure, but thats what I was told a while back by Vauxhall

Yes thats what they told me, but it doesnt say that in my policy, therefore they can G T F if they think they're gettin away with that, i'll just cancel the insurance and start on my own

Im just after buying a new sxi, they told me no mods where allowed on it at all, aesthetic or performance enhancing. Looks like a standard car 4 me for a year!

book top end speed is usually the top rated speed for the factory fitted tyres.
eg: my old clio was rated at 106mph, with tyres rated at 106mph max. the car was actuallu capable of ~115mph

if there is anything on your car that is not declared on your insurance policy, the whole insurance for your car is void.

When I had the free insurance last year, They just put my excess up when i Told them about the Irmsher bodykit. They also let me have Piper X induction kit on as well,
I have now had the car a year since stayed with vauxhall insurance and had more bodymodifications and bigger wheels.
all aare listed items the only thing is that the priemum went up slightly and i am allowed upto £2000 now of modifications but have £650 excess to pay If somthing happens.
I would just check cause it took three different attemps to make sure i was covered, when i had these things done. I think it depends on who you speak to?? Also make sure everything is listed when you get your new insurance documents.
Hope this helps
