Thinking about building a PC for £1000 or under....
I know it cant be the fastest in the world!!!!
It needs to be fast enough and have a good graphics card so i can online game......
Was thinking about a 2.8 P4 Prescott then overclocking and a Radeon 9600xt..... 1gb Corsair memory.... £120gb hard drive.
What do you think - opinions on what bits to get would be a great help....
OH and must be at least a 17" TFT screen.
Thanks
Darren

Yeah that was when i was thinking about spending 2k on it and only 1k on the car.... but now I am spending 2k on the car and only left with 1k for a computer.
But only gonna get one if it can meet my needs above - other wise just gonna save the 1k

daz if you want high quality display dont get a flat screen TFT moniter... get a normal boxy thing, better quality. the rest seems ok tho.
and for online gaming make sure you have a 1meg line other wise its just shit,
the mouse, get a microsoft optical mouse, (not i wireless one they are alot heavier than a normal mouse)

we have a 1meg line and we play call of duty at 20 - 35 ping, yes thats good but if it gets above say 150 ping game becomes unplayable. you know you will shoot someone and 3 seconds later they die,
